In the first of a nine-part installment, AuburnTigers.com asked nine questions of the returning and incoming members of the 2016-17 Auburn women's golf team. First up: incoming freshman Kayley Marschke.

1. What are you doing this summer?

Kayley: This summer I am recovering from knee surgery and hoping to play in a few tournaments in late June - early July.

2. What’s the strangest or funniest thing that’s ever happened to you on the golf course?

Kayley: I got stung by a bee at a qualifier I was playing in.

3. Your dream foursome – who are the three people you would want to play 18 holes with, and why?

Kayley: Paula Creamer, Jason Day, and Dustin Johnson! I have always loved these players, they strike the ball so perfectly and I think it would be a life changing experience to get to play with them.

4. What do you do to get away from golf and school? What’s your escape in your down time?

Kayley: My escape is the gym! I absolutely love working out, it helps me think and it puts me in a great mood!

5. What was it about Auburn that made it stand out above other schools you considered?

Kayley: The Auburn Family stood out to me the most, I love how it's not just a college, but a community and everyone is very welcoming!

6. If you could play any other sport, what would it be?

Kayley: If I could play any other sport it would be Tennis.

7. What is your favorite Auburn tradition?

Kayley: My favorite Auburn tradition is the eagle flying across the stadium! The story behind it is so amazing and I love that after so many years it still lives on.

8. Is there a golfer whose game you have tried to emulate, or have you developed your own game?

Kayley: Paula Creamer for sure!

9. Golf courses: what’s the toughest course you’ve played, your favorite course that you’ve played, and one that you most want to play?

Kayley: Toughest course I've played is Bear Trap at PGA National (in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.). Favorite course is without a doubt Sunriver Resort in Oregon! I want to play Pebble Beach one day!
