DENTON, Texas. -- The No. 15 Auburn gymnastics team earned its highest road score of the season Sunday afternoon, scoring a 196.500 to win the Texas Woman's quad meet. The four-team competition was held in Denton, Texas, at the Kitty McGee Arena.

"This team has faced a lot of adversity this weekend aside from the fact it was a full weekend of travel and competition," head coach Jeff Graba said. "Taking on two meets in less than 48 hours was a big chore for the team and I thought everyone did a great job today. It was a good score for us despite making some mistakes so we're looking forward to making improvements."

Pittsburgh came in second with a 196.1, while North Carolina State was third (195.925) and TWU was fourth (195.2).

The Tigers (5-6) opened the meet on bars, seeing a 49.25 from the youthful squad. Sophomore Katie Becker kicked things off with a career-best 9.85 and was followed by a 9.8 from junior Taylor Krippner. Sophomore Kendal Moss and redshirt junior Abby Milliet each added a pair of 9.85s, while sophomore Gracie Day captured the meet title with a 9.9.

Auburn moved on to beam and saw a trio of Tigers reach best scores. Milliet and Krippner earned a share of the event title with a 9.925 apiece. That mark tied a career high for both Texas natives. Redshirt sophomore Emma Slappey tied her career best with a 9.875. Freshmen Meredith Sylvia and Allie Riddle each contributed to the team score, earning a 9.775 and a 9.75, respectively.

Rotation three placed the team on floor, scoring a 49.0. Milliet picked up a share of the event title with another 9.9, tying her career best. Freshman Drew Watson also had a career performance with a 9.85, while Slappey added a 9.8. Freshman Jada Glenn was awarded a 9.775 and Day's 9.675 was added to the squad's score.

Day came through with another event title for Auburn, coming on vault in the final rotation. She tied her career-best with a 9.925, while Watson added a career-high 9.9 towards the team's 49.0. Junior A'Miracal Phillips earned a 9.775 and Becker and Krippner each added a 9.7.

The Tigers return to Auburn Arena for another non-conference meet, Feb. 16. Auburn will host Rutgers at 7 p.m. CT in Auburn Arena and the contest will serve as the team's 'Flip For The Cure' and Military Appreciation meet.
