AUBURN, Ala. – A day after Deshaun Davis and Derrick Brown earned All-SEC honors from the Associated Press, the league's coaches followed suit. The conference announced Tuesday that both Auburn defenders were voted on this year's Coaches All-SEC teams.

Davis was a first-team selection at linebacker after finishing fifth in the SEC this season with 107 tackles. The senior also led Auburn with 14 tackles for loss and recorded 2.5 sacks, two passes broken up and four quarterback hurries. He had six games with double-digit stops, and after five tackles in the Iron Bowl, he ranks sixth among Auburn career tacklers since 2000 with 257 total.

"His passion is second to none," Auburn linebackers' coach Travis Williams said. "He enjoys playing at Auburn. His teammates feed off his passion. He was a thrill to coach, and I absolutely love coaching him."

Brown was named second-team All-SEC on the defensive line thanks to a junior season in which he finished with 45 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and five QB hurries. He also broke up two passes, forced a fumble and recovered a fumble.

Last year, Auburn had seven players voted to the Coaches All-SEC teams.
