AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn faces off with Mississippi State for the second time in three matches, welcoming the Bulldogs to Auburn Arena on Friday. The Tigers and the Bulldogs kick off the new month at 6 p.m. CT.

"The kids are working hard," head coach Rick Nold said. "They're doing really good things. They're competitive. They want to win. I think we've got to find ways as coaches to help them get some of that confidence back and just keep believing in them."


QUICK HITS
- The Auburn (6-14, 0-9 SEC) volleyball team stumbled at Arkansas in straight sets Sunday afternoon.
-  Sophomore Tatum Shipes led the Tigers with 10 kills and added two blocks in the contest.
- Junior Shaina White, sophomore Chesney McClellan and freshman Lily Thomason each tallied five kills apiece.
- For the third time over the last four matches, Auburn recorded double-digit blocks at the net with 10.0 total. McClellan and White led the way with six blocks each. McClellan's six blocks were a season high.
- Freshman Bella Rosenthall led the Tigers defensively with eight digs. Junior Payton White added six while junior Morgan Kull chipped in five digs. Kull totaled 25 assists in the match.


UP NEXT
Auburn hits the road for a Wednesday night showdown with LSU, before returning home on Sunday, Nov. 10 to face off with No. 15 Kentucky at Auburn Arena.

PROMOTIONS
There will be a special Auburn Student Veterans Association recognition during the first set break of tomorrow's match as a part of Auburn Athletics' Military Appreciation Weekend.  

Kid's Zone will be set up on the concourse with a coloring station, Connect Four and Giant Jenga. In addition, the first 250 fans will receive a free cape koozie.

SCOUTING MISSISSIPPI STATE
- The Mississippi State Bulldogs enter Friday's match at 12-10 (1-9 SEC) after defeating Auburn last Friday and dropping a three-set match at Missouri on Sunday.
- Senior Alleah Stamatis is tied for third among SEC student-athletes with nine double-doubles on the season.
-  Freshman Callie Minshew has started every contest and ranks second on the squad in total kills (188) and total service aces (22), while being second among SEC freshman in digs (195).
-   As a team, the Bulldogs are third in the SEC in digs averaging 14.67 per set and totaling 1262 on the season.
