AUBURN, Ala. – The No. 1 Auburn equestrian team saw a pair of exhibition team wins Friday afternoon at the Auburn University Equestrian Center. The Jumping Seat squad put together a 9-1 win over Ole Miss, while the Western team rode to a 7-0 victory over the Auburn University IHSA team.

The Flat squad put together a 5-0 mark vs. the Rebels with freshman Lindsey Klein securing MOP honors. The San Diego product opened up the day with a 77-55 victory, scoring the highest points of the event. Senior Lillian Wagner followed with 72 points in her win before Mary McDaniel and Ericka Koscinski bested their opponents by 25 and 27 points, respectively. Sophomore Meghan Knapic sealed the event with a 76-60 win.

Fences went 4-1 against Ole Miss to close out the Jumping Seat side of competition. Junior Helen Ulrich and sophomore Jessica West scored a 77 and a 75, respectively, to pick up victories, while junior Emma Crosbie bested her opponent, 72-46. Junior Caroline Hudon closed out the event with a match-best 81 to get the win and MOP.

Western swept the Auburn IHSA team, starting with a 4-0 performance by Horsemanship. Freshman Rachel Hoopman edged Anna Crow, 74.5-72, while sophomore Ellie Becker earned MOP honors with a 76.5 on her ride and win. Senior Haley Pembroke followed with a 73.5-69 victory and freshman Maggie Bowers was awarded a 74 for her match-winning ride.

The Reining corps put together a 3-0 mark for the No. 1 Tiger team, starting with a 71.5-69 win for freshman Kayla Shelnutt. Senior Kara Kaufmann's 69.5 bested her opponent and sophomore Peyton Hall was awarded MOP honors for her performance, scoring a 72.5 in her win.

The No. 1 Tigers return to the road next weekend, traveling to Texas for a pair of meets. The squad opens with a contest vs. No. 7 SMU in Dallas, Nov. 8. Auburn closes out the weekend with a big SEC contest, facing No. 2 Texas A&M in College Station, Nov. 9.
