AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn soccer and head coach Karen Hoppa announced the addition of graduate transfer goalkeeper Dani Kaufman to the Tigers 2020 roster.

Kaufman will make her way to The Plains after spending the previous four seasons at Bucknell University.

"Dani comes to us as a grad transfer from Bucknell, and she's going to bring some experience to our goalkeeper unit," Hoppa said. "She's a great shot-stopper and has played a lot of minutes at Bucknell. We're really excited to have her join this class."

Kaufman saw action in 23 contests and made 20 starts in her career with the Bison. She made 109 career saves and contributed to eight shutouts, including six solo shutouts as a sophomore in 2017.

After playing in three contests as a freshman, Kaufman started in goal in 19 matches during the 2017 season and led her team to the Patriot League Championship and NCAA Tournament. She totaled 100 saves her sophomore year, ultimately leading the league in saves per game and ranking third in save percentage (.813).

Also a standout in the classroom, Kaufman was named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll on three occasions.

A native of Wilmette, Illinois, Kaufman was originally a product of New Trier High School. A four-year starter in goal, she helped lead her team to back-to-back state championships without conceding a goal during the run. Kaufman was named All-IHSSCA, All-Sectional and All-State while also earning Top Drawer Soccer All-America and Pioneer Press All-Area Co-Player of the Year honors in 2015.
