AUBURN, Ala. – The Cleveland Browns selected speedy Auburn receiver Anthony Schwartz Friday in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft, the 91st player taken overall.

The NFL's draft profile highlighted some of the reasons the Browns invested their third rounder on Schwartz, describing him as a "world-class sprinter with game-changing speed who blows by man coverage."

ESPN's analysts also focused on Flash's signature skill.

"They wanted that guy who can fly," said Mel Kiper Jr. "The thing about Anthony Schwartz, 4.25 speed for Auburn. That's one thing you can't teach. He's over 6-feet tall, and he can run like the wind."

"I think one of the things that's interesting about him is he is going to be a threat on those jet sweeps, on those tunnel screens, where you get him the ball quick, he doesn't have to worry so much about route precision, and then it's just, 'Hey go, outrun everybody,'" said Louis Riddick. "Auburn used him a lot in that way, and that's something they could use in this offense."

Schwartz concluded his three-year Auburn career with 117 receptions, No. 10 in program history, and 1,433 career receiving yards, 17th all-time.

Schwartz' 2020 highlights included a career-high 10 catches vs. Arkansas and a 91-yard touchdown receptions vs. LSU.

Schwartz becomes the first Auburn receiver drafted by the Browns since Ricardo Louis in the fourth round in 2016.
