AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn baseball begins its two-game fall exhibition slate with a 12-inning contest against Tuskegee Friday at 6 p.m. CT at Plainsman Park.

The game will benefit The Miracle League of East Alabama, which is a non-profit organization that provides an opportunity for persons with cognitive or physical disabilities to play baseball.

"Not only will you get to see the 2022 Auburn baseball team in uniform for the first time, but coach (Reginald) Hollins, myself, our players have staff have committed to make a difference along with you and The Miracle League of East Alabama," head coach Butch Thompson said.  

Friday's game will be broadcast on WEGL 91.1.

HOW TO CONTRIBUTE

Dependent on donations to provide a great opportunity for its players, The Miracle League will have representatives stationed inside of the gates at Plainsman Park and will be providing more information and accepting donations from fans upon entering the ballpark.

Fans attending Friday's exhibition are encouraged to bring cash or checks to contribute to the cause. Those who are interested in contributing but are unable to attend the game will be able to do so electronically or by mail by referencing the information below.

QUICK HITTERS

Head coach Butch Thompson enters his seventh season at the helm of the program in 2022 and leads a roster that currently consists of 25 returners and 24 newcomers.

Thompson returns his coaching staff in assistant coaches Gabe Gross and Karl Nonemaker and volunteer assistant Tim Hudson. He welcomes a new member of the support staff in former Tennessee Tech and Rice head coach Matt Bragga, who serves as the Director of Player Development.

Auburn's 2022 SEC schedule is set and begins at home against Ole Miss from Mar. 18-20.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

Admission is free, and gates will open at 3 p.m.

Fans are encouraged to park in the Coliseum lot or the Auburn Arena lot.

The concession stand behind home plate will be open, and fans will not be allowed to bring their own food or drink into the ballpark.

Bottled drinks, chips, candy, nachos, popcorn, pretzels, hot dogs, etc. will be available for purchase.

The concession stand will be cashless, and Tiger Cards will be accepted for students. No mobile ordering will be available.

The last chance to catch the Tigers against outside competition prior to next spring is Saturday, Oct. 23 against Clemson. First pitch between the two Power 5 foes is set for 11 a.m. at Plainsman Park.
