TEMPE, Ariz. – It was another solid day for the Auburn women's tennis team at the Thunderbird Invitational as the Tigers picked up four more wins against strong competition Saturday.

"We are learning and growing a lot this fall," Auburn head coach Caroline Lilley said. "As we learn what makes us most competitively sound and able to apply consistent pressure, we are challenged to replicate the same presence match after match. The steady climb is the battle, embracing the chopping wood and carrying water to love the process."

Sophomore Ariana Arseneault picked up a ranked singles victory, defeating No. 105 Isabelle Boulais 7-5, 4-1 (retired). Grad student Georgie Axon went the distance with OSU's Kolie Allen, earning a 6-4, 6-7 (6), 6-1 win. Adeline Flach downed the Buckeyes' Luna Dormet, 6-2, 6-0, and Selin Ovunc came up short to OSU's Lucia Marzal, 6-3, 6-3.

In doubles, Ovunc and Arseneault earned their second win of the weekend, taking down Michigan's Cerdan and Hammond, 6-1, and Axon and Flach dropped a 6-4 match to Kalaitzis and de las Heras of San Diego.

The final day of play gets underway Sunday morning. Live scoring will be available at thesundevils.com, and recaps will follow the day's play at AuburnTigers.com.
