The ITA released its final national collegiate individual rankings for 2021 Wednesday, based upon play during the fall tournament season. Auburn has three players ranked nationally in singles and one doubles pair.
Tyler Stice is Auburn's top-rated singles player, coming in at No. 47 after a 4-3 fall campaign. Rated No. 56 in singles is Tad Maclean, who went 12-5 during the fall, posting a runner-up finish at the ITA Southern Regionals, earning a place in the ITA Fall Nationals and advancing from the qualifiers into the main draw of the ITA All-Americans. Jan Galka is ranked No. 59; the regional semifinalist went 8-3 during fall action.
Galka and Stice, who were 5-1 as a doubles tandem during the fall, are ranked No. 28 nationally among doubles teams. Auburn's NCAA finalists Finn Murgett and Maclean were only paired together for three matches this fall, so they are not in the latest rankings.
It's the first time in more than a decade that Auburn has three players ranked in singles at the same time.
The Tigers open dual-match play on January 15 hosting North Alabama in a doubleheader at the Yarbrough Tennis Center.
