Consider what Auburn baseball accomplished in 2022. The team picked to finish seventh in the SEC Western Division, finished sixth in the country! Auburn was one of six programs to make two trips to the College World Series in the last three postseasons. The Tigers were one of 10 programs to advance to three super Regionals in the last four postseasons. Sonny DiChiara was named a consensus All-American, the sixth in Auburn history joining Frank Thomas, Tim Hudson, Gabe Gross, Todd Faulkner and Casey Mize. Sonny D was also the third Auburn player, joining Tim Hudson and Hunter Morris, as the SEC Player of the Year. The Auburn team picked seventh in the SEC West ended the seasons of the top three teams from the Pac 12 - UCLA, Oregon State and Stanford.
