AUBURN, Ala. — Auburn soccer and head coach Karen Hoppa announced the addition of goalkeeper Maddie Lo to the program Wednesday.

Lo comes to The Plains after spending four seasons at Northwestern. She will be eligible to join the Tigers for the 2023 fall season.

"We are really excited to add Maddie to our team," Hoppa said. "She's a very experienced goalkeeper, who is a great shot stopper. She will add tremendous depth to an extremely important position.

Over three years at Wayzata High School, Lo posted 28 shutouts and a 0.46 goals-against-average. After capping a third-straight conference title run in 2018, which included a game-winning save in a penalty shootout in the semifinals, Lo was voted first team all-conference.

In the summer of 2018, she also played as a guest with Tokiwagi Gakuen High School from Sendai, Japan and posted a 12-0 record when they visited the United States.

Auburn soccer returns to the pitch, Saturday, March 25 at 2:30 p.m. CT versus Georgia.
