AUBURN, Ala. — Auburn soccer and head coach Karen Hoppa announced the addition of transfer forward Shelby Sallee to the program Tuesday.
Sallee spent the previous three seasons at Xavier University. She will join the Tigers' roster in the spring with two years of eligibility remaining.
"We are thrilled to add Shelby to our roster," Hoppa said. "She is a proven attacker who can score goals and create for others. She will be an exciting player for the fans to watch next fall."
Sallee made her collegiate debut in the fall of 2021, seeing time in all 20 matches for the Musketeers while bagging four goals and three assists. She was named to the Big East All-Freshman Team. An injury sidelined Sallee for the 2022 season, but she responded with seven goals and an assist in a breakout 2023 campaign. She earned a spot on that year's Big East All-Tournament Squad.
In her two seasons on the pitch at Xavier, the Musketeers earned a pair of conference titles and posted a 30-7-5 head-to-head record, which included two NCAA Tournament berths.
Sallee attended Strongsville High School in Strongsville, Ohio where she was a two-time All-American as well as the program's all-time leading goal-scorer. As a club player, Sallee competed for Cleveland Futbol Club.
Auburn soccer returns to action in the spring for a slate of exhibition matches. A schedule will be announced at a later date.
