CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Auburn completed its time at the Wahoowa Invitational on Sunday after posting 11 singles wins and two doubles wins over the three-day event. Ava Hrastar had a perfect weekend for the Tigers, winning all three of her singles matches while Natalie Outcalt also went undefeated in singles in two matches.

“A positive weekend from the girls, as we dug out some tough victories and all left a little bit improved,” Auburn assistant coach Pete Francis said on Sunday. “Proud of the way we all competed and fought. Congratulations to Ava [Hrastar] for going three-for-three and to Alice [Battesti] and Emma [Tothova] for getting their first wins at Auburn.”

After a difficult start to the day on Friday in doubles, Auburn players bounced back with three singles victories. Outcalt picked up a dominant straight set win on Friday morning over Hayley Glen of James Madison while Hrastar and Bedard each defeated opponents from host school Virginia in the afternoon.

The Tigers started Saturday hot, with two doubles wins over pairs from James Madison. Auburn continued to have success over the Dukes on Saturday, with five singles wins. Emma Tothova picked up her first collegiate win over Corinna Reitmann of James Madison by a 6-4, 6-3 score while Esposito, Outcalt and Julie Bedard also won in straight sets. Hrastar went to three sets in her match on Saturday, winning over Ines Oliveira 6-1, 4-6, 6-3.
