AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn has signed Georgia transfer Freddy Blaydes, head coach Bobby Reynolds announced on Tuesday. Blaydes will join the Tigers for the 2025-26 season after competing for two seasons at Georgia. The Windermere, England, native will become teammates with his older brother, rising senior Billy Blaydes.

“I’m really excited to have Freddy,” said Auburn head coach Bobby Reynolds. “He was one of the best juniors coming into college a couple of years ago and he’s definitely shown that he is one of the top doubles players in the country. To have another brother on the team, he just fits the culture that we’ve built. I’m excited to have both he and Billy on the same team, hopefully playing doubles together, and for what he has to offer going forward.

During his freshman season in Athens, Blaydes regularly played at the No. 1 doubles position and the No. 6 singles position. Blaydes went 16-10 overall in doubles his freshman season and posted an 18-10 overall doubles record in his sophomore campaign.

Prior to his time in college, Blaydes held a career-high ITF Junior World Ranking of No. 117 and made the second round of singles and doubles at Junior Wimbledon in 2023. Blaydes claims two ITF Junior singles titles as well as five ITF Junior doubles titles.
