AUBURN, Ala. – A trio of Auburn Tigers made their way into the consolation finals on 1-meter to kick off the first day of competition at the 2026 SEC Championships inside the Allan Jones Aquatic Center. After one event on the men’s side, Auburn sits fourth with 41 points.
Sophomore Ethan Swart kicked off the championships with a solid 326.50, easily earning a second list in consolation finals. Teammate Ben Wilson wasn’t too far behind, scoring a 314.70 to slide into the top 16. Talan Blackmon gave the Tigers three divers in consolation finals after a 313.50.
In finals, it was Wilson who dialed up the best effort for the Orange and Blue. His 322.45 was good enough to solidify 12th. Swart was right on his heels with a 318.30 for 13th, and Blackmon finished in 15th after a 300.65.
Freshman Tsvetomir Ereminov secured 30th overall with a 238.45.
Tuesday will bring the women’s 1-meter competition along with the 1650, 200 medley relay and 800 free relay.
