AUBURN, Ala. – Avery Glynn, a junior on the Auburn equestrian team, was named the 2026 Southeastern Conference Equestrian Scholar-Athlete of the Year, the league announced Saturday.
The honor is the first for Glynn and Auburn’s third in program history.
“I’m proud of Avery,” head coach Jessica Braswell said. “Not only has she been outstanding athletically, but also in the classroom. She sets a very high standard for herself both in competition and academically and it’s great to see her recognized for that.”
Glynn, a Petaluma, California, product, is a marketing major with a 3.91 grade-point average and competes on the Jumping Seat side for the Tigers. Academically, she is an NCEA First Team All-Academic honoree as well as an NCEA Academic Honor Roll and SEC Academic Honor Roll member.
In competition, Glynn stands at 19-5-0 this season with a 10-2-0 record on the Flat and a 9-3-0 record in Fences. The 2025 NCEA and SEC Fences Rider of the Year and two-time All-American has five MOPs on the Flat and five in Fences this season.
