ATHENS, Ga. – No. 19 Auburn men’s tennis dropped its final match of the regular season on Sunday afternoon to No. 13 Georgia by a 4-0 score at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens.

In doubles, Georgia struck first with a 6-3 win at the No. 3 position. Auburn’s Billy and Freddy Blaydes took a 4-2 lead over Georgia’s Arda Azkara and Santiago Giamichelle, but the Georgia pair came back to win 6-4 and clinch the doubles point for the Bulldogs.

Georgia kept the momentum in singles, winning the opening set on five courts. Auburn junior Nicholas Heng went back and forth with Georgia’s Santiago Giamichelle at the No. 3 position, eventually claiming the first set in a tiebreaker.

The Bulldogs converted first-set wins into straight-set victories at the No. 6 and No. 4 positions to take a quick 3-0 lead over the Tigers.

On court two, Georgia’s Will Jansen claimed the opening set over Auburn’s Billy Blaydes 6-1. Blaydes kept the second set close, as the two later went to a tiebreaker. Jansen won the tiebreaker 7-3 to win the match 6-1, 7-6 (3) and seal the victory for the Bulldogs.

Auburn finishes the regular season with a 16-9 overall record and a 6-8 record in conference play. The Tigers will be the 8-seed at the 2026 SEC Championship, which will be played April 15-19 at the Mitchell Tennis Center in College Station, Texas. Auburn's first match will be on Thursday against 9-seed Florida at 6 p.m. CT.
