AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn men’s tennis begins its 2026-27 season this weekend, with the Tigers competing at the SEC Starkvegas Showdown in Starkville, Mississippi, and the Carolina Pro Classic in Columbia, South Carolina.
The Tigers travel to Mississippi State for the SEC Starkvegas Showdown to open the fall slate. Auburn will face three SEC programs, beginning Friday against the host Bulldogs at 2 p.m. CT. The Tigers face in-state rival Alabama on Saturday at 1 p.m. CT before closing the weekend Sunday against Vanderbilt at 2 p.m. CT.
The teams will compete in doubles, playing a set to six. Four singles matches will follow with a full third set. If the dual is ted 3-3, a singles tie breaker will be played to seven to determine the winner.

The action continues Monday with the Carolina Pro Classic/M15 Columbia Futures, part of the ITF World Tennis Tour calendar. Freshman Duje Markovina, who earned a No. 113 ITA preseason ranking earlier this fall, and returning sophomore Manel Lazaro earned qualifying bids into the tournament. Draws will an announced over the weekend.
