SEC Freshman of the Week (May 5, 2025)

2025 – FRESHMAN SEASON  
Posted a 4-1 record with a 4.47 ERA in 14 starts … ranked third on the team with 60 strikeouts in 52.1 innings … held opponent to a .201 average against, the lowest among qualified pitchers … started the first seven series finales of the season … earned his first collegiate win with 5.0 innings, nine strikeouts and just two hits allowed vs. Baylor (Mar. 2), tying Andreas Alvarez for the most strikeouts by an Auburn freshman since 2014 … followed with another win in 5.2 innings of one-run ball (unearned) against Old Dominion (Mar. 9) … allowed just one earned run in a span of four midweek starts and 19.0 innings pitched from Apr. 8-29, good for a 0.47 ERA … retired the first 15 batters he faced and ultimately struck out eight in 6.0 innings at Jacksonville State (Apr. 15) … surpassed his previous season high with 10 strikeouts in 6.0 scoreless innings vs. Samford (Apr. 29), allowing just one hit in the outing … earned his second win of the week with 3.0 scoreless innings in the series clincher at Tennessee (May 4), earning him SEC Freshman of the Week honors.

HIGH SCHOOL
Attended Brooks High School (AL) … rated by Perfect Game as the No. 65 overall player in the class, including the No. 2 right-handed pitcher in Alabama … 2024 Perfect Game Preseason All-American and PG Deep South High School Dream Team … 2024 ASWA Class 7A Player of the Year and three-time First Team All-State … went 6-1 with a 0.95 ERA as a senior … also hit .463 with 20 RBI and 24 runs scored … 2023 Perfect Game All-American Classic Game and National Showcase Top Prospect Team … struck out the side in his appearance in the All-American Game … ratted by Perfect Game as the No. 148 overall prospect entering the 2024 MLB Draft … Baseball America’s No. 36 high schooler to get to campus.
