Before Auburn: Attended the University of North Georgia but did not play football there ... played high school football for Coach Tab Griffin at Pope High, helping the Greyhounds advance to the Class 6A playoffs as a sophomore and junior ... also a track and field letterman 

Personal: Birthday is May 17 ... son of Cassy Cohen and John Cohen ... has two brothers, Ben and Sammy (a former Auburn linebacker now on the football staff) ... studying in the College of Business
