As a student assistant, he served as the primary communications contact for Auburn cross country, track & field, men's golf and soccer. With the golf program, Cleverdon promoted its 2024 and 2026 NCAA Championship runs as well as the top-ranked amateur player in the world, Jackson Koivun, who became the first man in the history of the sport to capture all three national player of the year awards twice.
