Riley Frizell joined Auburn softball in August to serve as the program’s graduate assistant.

Frizell joins the Tigers after concluding her playing career at Louisville where she was an NFCA All-Southeast Region First Team selection and an All-ACC performer as the Cardinals primary first baseman.

The Willoughby, Ohio, native led the team with a .337 batting average behind 56 hits. She set career highs with 13 home runs and 49 RBI and posted a team leading .651 slugging percentage her senior season.

No stranger to the SEC, Frizell spent her first three collegiate seasons at Missouri before transferring to Louisville. With the Tigers, Frizell helped Mizzou to three straight NCAA Regionals, including a Super Regional appearance in 2021.

She played in 109 games with 49 starts at Missouri with 10 home runs, four doubles, 39 RBI and 23 runs scored.

Frizell was a two-time SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll selection.
