Education:
Gainey graduated with a degree in Exercise and Sports Science from UNC Greensboro and earned a master’s degree in Sports Management from Troy University.

Job Responsibilities: She is directly responsible for the development and implementation of the strength & conditioning program for gymnastics and volleyball as well as oversight of the graduate assistants and supports the advancement of the internship program.

Experience: Prior to Auburn, she spent four seasons at the University of Memphis with the Lady Tigers Women’s Basketball Team. Prior to working at Memphis, Gainey worked at Middle Tennessee, primarily with the Volleyball, Softball and Soccer programs as well as many other duties. Before MTSU, Gainey worked at Troy University as an assistant strength and conditioning coach. Gainey also had collegiate stops at Georgia State, UNC - Charlotte and Wake Forest where she started her career as an intern.

Certifications: Bethany is a 20-plus year member and certified with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. She is also certified through USA Weightlifting.
