Education: Pembleton earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Cincinnati in 2023 and a Master of Health and Human Services from Youngstown State University in 2024.
Job Responsibilities: As Assistant Sports Scientist for Strength & Conditioning, Pembleton supports student-athlete performance through sports science technology, performance testing, data analysis, and return-to-play monitoring. He collaborates with coaches and medical staff to translate data into practical training and recovery insights.
Experience: Prior to joining Auburn, Pembleton spent three years at Youngstown State University, progressing from Graduate Assistant to Assistant Director of Football Sports Performance before serving as Director of Sports Science. As a graduate assistant, he served as the primary sports performance coach for the men’s tennis team and track and field jumpers while also supporting the football program. In his football role, he led return-to-play processes in collaboration with sports medicine and performance staff. As Director of Sports Science, he oversaw sports science initiatives across all YSU athletic programs, including athlete monitoring, performance testing, readiness reporting, and the implementation of performance technologies.
Personal: A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Pembleton enjoys lifting weights, golfing, watching movies, playing video games, and cheering on Cincinnati sports teams.
