Jack Taylor joined the Auburn Football staff in January 2026. He serves as Senior
Offensive Assistant and assistant tight ends coach.

Taylor is a longtime associate of head coach Alex Golesh working with him at UCF,
Tennessee and USF.
He comes to Auburn after three seasons from 2023-25 at South Florida, including
the final two seasons as tight ends coach from 2024-25. He was a senior offensive
quality control analyst in 2023.
Additionally, Taylor served as offensive coordinator and play caller for USF
during the 2025 Cure Bowl. He helped the Bulls to a No. 3 finish overall in FBS
with a total offense that averaged 488.7 yards per game.Under his leadership, USF tight ends scored eight touchdowns and recorded nearly 600 receiving yards during the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
Taylor followed Golesh from the University of Tennessee to USF in 2022 after
serving as an offensive analyst under head coach Josh Heupel for two seasons
(2021-22). At UT, Taylor did his part to help the Vols become the nation’s highest-
scoring and most explosive offense in 2022, shattering program records and
rising to No. 1 in the nation in scoring (47.33), yards per game (538.1), points per
possession (3.24) and yards per play (7.35). Tennessee was the only team to
average over 300 yards passing and 200 yards rushing in the 2022 season and had
scored 40-plus points in 15 of its 25 games since Taylor’s arrival. He was part of a
staff that helped propel the Vols from three wins (3-7) the season before his
arrival to 10 wins and a No. 6 College Football Playoff ranking in 2022.
Before Taylor’s time in Knoxville, Tenn., he spent two seasons at UCF (2019-20)
under then-head coach Josh Heupel. Taylor served as an offensive quality control
specialist, developing practice plans, team goals, and improvement strategies,
while working directly with Heupel and leading the Knights’ scout team. During
the 2020 season, Taylor first worked with Golesh.
Before his time with Heupel and Golesh, Taylor served in his first analyst position
in college football for one season (2018) as an offensive quality control specialist
at SMU.
Taylor worked as a student assistant coach at Missouri from 2015-17. He earned
an undergraduate degree from Mizzou in 2017.
