Education: King graduated from the University of Alabama in 2023, where he was a member of the Honors College and graduated magna cum laude.
Job Responsibilities: As Assistant Director of Football Video, King supports the day-to-day operation of the football technology network and video systems. His responsibilities include facilitating the shooting and ingest of practices and games, assisting coaches, players, and staff with troubleshooting technology, managing the ingest and distribution of FBS and NFL game film through the Catapult Thunder network, and assisting with Pro Football Focus data reporting. King also coordinates the acquisition of transfer portal film, supports recruiting events and camps, manages football meeting spaces and equipment inventory, and assists with gameday video capture and logging for the in-game video system. Additionally, he helps hire and train student staff and coordinates video operations for visiting teams and gameday stadium setup.
Experience: Prior to joining Auburn, King served as Video Coordinator for Georgia Southern University Football. He previously worked as a Coaches Video Assistant at the University of Alabama during the Crimson Tide’s 2023 SEC Championship season and served as a Student Manager for Coaches Video during Alabama’s 2020 National Championship season and SEC Championship seasons in 2020 and 2021.
Personal: A native of Opp, Alabama, King met his wife, Megan, at Camp Victory in 2018, and the couple married on April 20, 2024. His family held Auburn Football season tickets in 2010 and attended every home game during the Tigers’ national championship season.
