Ryland Powell joined the Auburn football staff in December 2025. She currently serves as Director of On-Campus Recruiting.

Powell comes to Auburn after spending the last three seasons under head coach Alex Golesh at USF. She began as the assistant director of on-campus recruiting in 2023 and after two highly successful recruiting cycles was promoted to director of on-campus recruiting in February 2025.

At USF, Powell helped the program secure classes that both ranked among the best in the American Athletic Conference, with the 2024 class leading the way and the 2025 class ranking second.  

Powell also served as the Director of On-Campus Recruiting at James Madison in 2022.

She graduated from JMU with a bachelor’s degree in sport and recreation management and business minor in 2021. As an undergraduate, Powell served the football program in multiple roles including as a student assistant in operations, recruiting, equipment and strength & conditioning.
