Wayne Dorsey joined the Auburn Football staff in January 2025. He served as Assistant Bucks & Edges Coach.
In 2024, Dorsey helped tutor a talented group of edge defenders that included Keyron Crawford posting the best season of his Auburn career. The senior finished his final season with 36 tackles, 9.5 TFL and 5.0 sacks. He totaled 43 quarterback pressures during the regular season, the fourth-best total in the SEC according to PFF, and earned a Senior Bowl invite.
From 2023-24, Dorsey was the defensive line coach at Charlotte.
Dorsey began his coaching career at St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, working with the defensive line from 2018-22. St. Frances enjoyed a remarkable 38-3 record during Dorsey's four non-COVID-19 years and sent numerous defensive linemen onto Power Five schools, including several Top 100-rated recruits.
A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Dorsey attended Mississippi Gulf Coach Community College then Ole Miss, where he played defensive line. He spent time in the professional ranks with the then Oakland Raiders in 2012 as well as two seasons in Arena Football before transitioning to coaching.
He graduated from Ole Miss in 2018.
