Overview

Auburn Athletics is excited to begin the search for a Lifeguard to oversee the safety of pool patrons! The facility is open daily to the public for use and is also utilized by various student groups and local clubs. Lifeguards provide safety and oversight for all activities in the facility and respond to any emergencies. They also assist with other operational duties such as guest check-in, event set-up/breakdown and clean up.

About Auburn Aquatics: James E. Martin Aquatics Center is located between Beard-Eaves Coliseum and the Student Activities Center. It houses an Olympic-size pool with three moveable bulkheads which allow for variable distance competition and simultaneous diving as well as an instructional pool used for various classes.

 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the safety of pool patrons while utilizing the facility
  • Assist with set-up and breakdown for events
  • Clean-up and light custodial duties
  • Member/guest check-in

 

Qualifications

  • Enrolled student at Auburn University
  • Current American Red Cross Lifeguard/First Aid/Certifications Please upload copy of certification with application

 

Expectations:

  • Ability to work early mornings, nights, weekends. Summers and holiday breaks preferred
  • Ability to swim 500 yards, treat water with diving brick for 1 min and retrieve object from bottom of diving well

Responsibilities
  • Provide high quality daily care of the horses at the Equestrian Center
  • Clean stalls, feed, water, turnouts and blanketing of horses
  • Administer medications and perform medical treatments
  • Oversee general horse health
  • Assist with veterinary and farrier when needed
  • Additional duties to be assigned

    • Enrolled student at Auburn University

Expectations:
  • Applicants must have prior experience interacting with horses.
  • Must be able to work at least 2 mornings and additional afternoons.
  • Ability to work 10-20 hours a week, including some weekends

Responsibilities

  • Assist with event set up and breakdown for special events, such as moving tables and chairs, setting linens, florals, and other duties as assigned.
  • Perform basic administrative tasks, such as filing, copying, and using Microsoft Office apps.
  • Assist with other duties pertaining to event preparation as assigned, including but not limited to; greeting guests, registration, food service, cleaning, delivering and unloading stock, operating various tools (pressure washer, drill, leaf blower, vacuum, etc.).

Auburn Athletics is excited to begin the search for Student Ambassadors to provide an elevated gameday experience for premium seat holders in the suite and club spaces at Jordan-Hare Stadium for all Auburn Football home games.


Responsibilities
  • Serve as the official host and hostesses of Tigers Unlimited.
  • Must commit to working ALL Auburn Football home games.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and hospitality at Auburn Athletics sporting events, while creating memorable experiences for Tigers Unlimited donors and guests.
  • Check tickets and wristband guests at all suite and club spaces at Jordan-Hare Stadium on gameday.
  • Assist suite holders with catering or other requests throughout the game.
  • Direct liaison between guests and catering, cleaning, and other vendors throughout the game.
  • Exceptional students will be asked to work other sporting events including Men’s Basketball, Gymnastics, Equestrian, and Baseball.

The Athletics IT Service Desk is seeking motivated students to join our team in providing frontline technical support to Auburn University’s athletics community! This role offers hands-on experience supporting a wide range of IT services for staff, student-athletes and coaches.


Responsibilities
  • Support for Auburn Information Technology resources including Configuration of laptops, tablets, and cell phones for campus wireless and email systems, accounts, email, printing services, and other IT services.
  • Assistance with Duo 2Factor registration, reactivation, and removal.
  • Monitor the athletics Service Now system and respond to tickets and other requests accordingly.
  • Limited Football Game Day IT support that includes data network, wireless network set up monitoring, troubleshooting, etc.
  • Ability to work independently.

Auburn Athletics Game Operations Student Employees assist event management in setup, game operations, and tear down of events during our fall, winter, and spring sport seasons. Students have the opportunity to build valuable relationships within Auburn Athletics as well as work alongside peers with similar career aspirations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with setup and teardown for home athletic events including football, men's and women's basketball, volleyball, soccer, gymnastics, baseball, softball, etc. (Must be willing and able to commit to all home football games)
  • Assist primary event managers in executing various game day operations responsibilities as assigned (gate/crowd management, guest services, visiting teams and officials, work directly with event security staff, etc.)
  • Collaborate with other student workers to carry out assigned tasks from Game Operations Graduate Assistants, Assistant Director of Game Operations, Director of Game Operations, Assistant AD of Game Operations, and Senior Associate AD of Operations, and other Auburn Athletics Staff members

Auburn Athletics is seeking a Student Employee to assist Gymnastics with practice setup and breakdown, practice support, competition and travel, and administrative support. 


Responsibilities

PRACTICE SETUP & BREAKDOWN
• Ensure equipment is set up before practice
• Review practice plan with coaches and set up necessary
drills
• Ensure all apparatus are properly set and safe prior to
athletes entering the gym
• Refill chalk trays, water bottles, and Tac-10s prior to
practice
• Return all equipment to proper storage after practice
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the gym floor

PRACTICE SUPPORT
• Replenish chalk, grip tape, wrist wraps, spray bottles,
Tac-10s, and other athlete supplies throughout practice
• Assist athletes with mat placement, spot mats, and crash
mat positioning
• Manage water and hydration supplies on the floor
• Run errands between the gym, training room, and
coaches' office as needed


VIDEO & TECHNOLOGY
• Film practice footage on designated events as directed by
coaching staff
• Upload and organize practice film to the team's video
platform
• Assist with operating scoreboard or display systems
during intrasquad meets


COMPETITION & TRAVEL
• Manage the "Go Bag"
• Assist with packing and loading competition bags,
equipment, and supplies for travel
• Set up the team's competition area (warm-up mats, chalk
buckets, water, towels)
• Manage the bench area and support athletes during
warm-ups and competition rotations
• Help with post-competition breakdown and equipment
return

• Assist the Director of Operations and Coaching Staff with

the coaching staff
• Manage the mailing system for recruits; including
updating mailing database, sending out mailers, and
assisting with generating Auburn relevant materials for
recruiting

The Graduate Assistant for Athletic Facilities supports the daily operations, maintenance, and event coordination of Auburn University athletic facilities while gaining valuable experience in project management, systems oversight, and operational efficiency. This position provides a practical environment for applying analytical and problem-solving skills through responsibilities related to safety inspections, process optimization, resource tracking, and vendor coordination. Working under the supervision of the Directors/Assistant Director of Athletic Facilities, the GA will contribute to the safety, functionality, and readiness of facilities for practices, competitions, and special events, while developing leadership, organizational, and technical skills transferable to professional disciplines.

Overview

A Graduate Assistant is provided with an educational experience aligned with or related to their program of study whereby they apply the specific functional knowledge, skills and abilities gained from their overall educational program. There may be duties other than teaching, research or extension, and the following guidelines must be adhered to:

  • At least 60% of the student’s primary duties and responsibilities are directly related their program of study.
  • No more than 25% of the student’s duties and responsibilities are administrative/clerical in nature. (i.e. event setup and takedown, filing, copying, etc.)


Responsibilities

Facility Operations & Maintenance

  • Assist with the upkeep and maintenance of athletic facilities by helping coordinate equipment checks, tracking inventories, and reporting facility issues for resolution
  • Applying analytical skills similar to system monitoring.
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs to assess and report safety, functionality, and cleanliness, reinforcing compliance standards and risk mitigation practices.
  • Support initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, resource management, and preventive maintenance processes.

Event Coordination

  • Support the setup and breakdown of events, practices, and competitions by assisting with logistics, equipment layout, and scheduling needs, using organizational skills that parallel project coordination in professional settings
  • Collaborate with maintenance and event personnel to ensure efficient event preparation and smooth operational flow.

Scheduling & Communication

  • Aid in managing facility scheduling for internal and external users to optimize facility usage and operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a point of contact for facility users, addressing questions, providing support, and directing needs to the appropriate personnel, reinforcing professional communication and problem-solving skills.

Vendor & Partner Support

  • Assist in coordinating with vendors and service providers during facility-related projects or service calls, ensuring proper documentation, follow-up, and process
  • Monitor maintenance timelines, track service requests, and support quality assurance efforts related to facility operations.

Special Projects & Administrative Support

  • Contribute to facility improvement projects, maintenance planning, and operational documentation, applying principles of process optimization and data-driven analysis.
  • Collaborate with Athletics staff and student workers on special assignments and game-day operations, building teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Oversee inspections and cleanliness of vehicle fleet, reinforcing safety and compliance standards.
  • Perform departmental mail distribution and other administrative duties as
  • Complies with all applicable National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and Southeastern Conference (SEC) regulations in the performance of job duties

  • Acceptance or current enrollment in a relevant graduate program at Auburn
  • Registered for at least one course during each academic term of the

These positions require some work on nights and weekends at ticketed sporting events (Football, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Gymnastics, Baseball, and Softball). Working Football is a Requirement (4 hours prior-end of 1st quarter)

There may be additional opportunities to work office hours during the week (8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday).


Responsibilities

Student Assistants with the Ticket Office may have one or more of the below responsibilities:

  • Provide day‑to‑day support for ticket office operations, including basic administrative and office tasks.
  • Assist with selling and distributing tickets, processing cash and card payments, and balancing transactions.
  • Deliver front‑line customer service by answering ticket‑related questions in person, by phone, and via email.
  • Support event and office preparation, including organizing materials, printing, and distributing tickets.
  • Assist staff with projects, outreach efforts, and promoting upcoming games and events to increase attendance.
  • Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, recordkeeping, and organizing documents.
  • Help track ticket usage and maintain accurate records to support compliance, reporting, and audits.
  • Maintain an organized, efficient ticket office environment and support general operational needs as assigned.
