AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" Auburn cross country will travel to Nashville, Tenn., on Saturday to face off in the Commodore Classic. The Tigers will compete against 24 schools on the men's side and 26 on the women's side, including five other SEC programs (Georgia, Mississippi State, Missouri, Tennessee and Vanderbilt).

The women's squad is coming off of a second place finish at the Furman Classic, led by Veronica Eder, who finished second in the women's 6k with a time of 20:39.05. Junior Anna Nelson continued her strong start at Auburn with a seventh place finish, running a 21:57.42.

Auburn's men scored 58 points in a second place finish at the Furman Classic last week. Kevin Wyss was the top scorer for the Tigers once again, finishing sixth in the men's 8k with a time of 25:17.04. Freshman Erik Armes was recognized as the SEC Freshman of the Week after finishing 20th with a time of 26:22.58.

The meet will feature a men's 8k starting at 9 a.m. and women's 5k begining at 10 a.m. Both meets will be held at Vaughn's Gap Cross Country Course at Percy Warner Park.
