AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" Auburn cross country will travel to Greenville, S.C. on Saturday for the annual Furman Cross Country Classic.

Senior Veronica Eder captured her first victory of the season last weekend at the JSU Strut's Opener with a personal best time of 13:46.6. Junior Anna Nelson was runner up with a time of 14:25.0, followed by senior Rachel Givens (14:33.9).

Juniors Kevin Wyss, Wes Curles and Coleman Churitch led a sweep of the men's 5k. Wyss clocked a 15:20.0 to claim the men's title for his first collegiate victory. Curles placed second at 15:20.6, followed by Churitch with a time of 15:20.9. Wesley Pectol finished fourth with a 15:21.8, while Mitchell Gomez rounded out the scoring for Auburn, finishing fifth with a 15:21.9.

All races will be held on the cross country course of the Furman Golf Club, which has hosted two NCAA Division I Cross Country championships. The women's 6k will begin at 8:30 a.m., followed by the men's 8k at 9:15 a.m.
