AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" Sophomore Hayley Iannotti of the No. 2 Auburn equestrian team was named the SEC Equitation on the Flat Rider of the Month, the league office announced Wednesday.
The Wellington, Fla., product went 2-0-0 in the month of October for the Tigers. Her first ride of the season in Flat came against No. 1 Texas A&M, Oct. 15, and she picked up an 89-58 win to help Auburn top the Aggies in a tiebreak. Her 89 points was a team-high score for the day and her margin of victory of 31 points was the largest by any student-athlete during the meet.
In Auburn's exhibition win over Alabama, Oct. 21, Iannotti earned an 84-82 victory, helping the Tigers sweep the Tide in the event.
Auburn returns to competition next week, traveling to No. 3 Georgia. The Tigers and the Bulldogs will face off Friday, Nov. 11, at 12 p.m. CT.
