AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" Junior Allie Michaud advanced to the round of 16 at USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Valeria Salazar of Syracuse.
The Florida native advanced to National Indoors after winning the USTA/ITA Southern Regional on Oct. 17. No. 25 Michaud will face off against No. 19 Astra Sharma (Vanderbilt) tomorrow in the round of 16 for a chance to advance to the main draw quarterfinals.
Andie Dikosavljevic fell to No. 31 Jessie Aney 6-3, 6-2, and will move to the singles consolation bracket, beginning tomorrow morning. The junior earned an at-large bid to National Indoors after advancing to the finals of the Southern Regional.
