AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn softball program will hold its fourth annual Family Fun Day on Sunday, Jan. 29 at Jane B. Moore Field, giving young fans a chance to meet and interact with their favorite Tigers prior to the start of the 2017 season.
From 1-3 p.m., Jane B. Moore Field will be filled with activities for kids ranging from a dizzy bat race to a water balloon toss all led by the Auburn softball team. Young fans will also get the chance to go on the same field as the Auburn Tigers and get autographs afterward.
The yearly Family Fun Day will also mark the beginning of the Beat Bama Food Drive. Attendees who bring a non-perishable food donation will receive a $1 beverage voucher to the concession stand. The Beat Bama Food Drive will continue all season long at Jane B. Moore Field.
The concession stand will be open throughout the event with limited items for purchase.
Activity stations and other attractions will also be available for those attending Family Fun Day.
Fans can get autographs and pictures with the team after the kids' activity stations have concluded. Admission to the event is free and gates open at 12:30 p.m.
The 2017 home opener for Auburn is slated for Feb. 16 against SIU-Edwardsville. First pitch will take place at 6 p.m. and the game can be viewed on SEC Network+.
