Auburn Tigers: Tell us a little about how you got your start in softball.
Jenna Abbott: My mom actually signed me up for T-ball when I was really little. And I just stuck with it because my dad was like "Hey, she's kind of good at this."
AT: So then how'd you decide to come play for Auburn?
JA: I came on a visit my sophomore year and I just fell in love with it. It was under the old coaching staff, but when the Myers family got here I was like I gotta stay because they're awesome.
AT: What's your favorite Coach Myers story?
JA: My favorite Coach Myers story isn't really a story, it's just something he does that shows how old he is whenever he does it. He can't put his pinky down. If you're on base, if there's one out, he'll go "Okay, there's one out" and he'll literally be holding up two fingers [his index and pinky fingers] and you're like, "Wait a second, what?" So if you're going to first base you have to go, "Scott, is there one out or two outs?" Because he's giving two fingers.
AT: Do you have any hidden talents?
JA: I can make an elephant noise.
AT: What's your favorite TV show right now?
JA: Right now, my favorite TV show is probably The Mindy Project.
AT: What do you like to do around Auburn when you have time off from softball?
JA: I really like to go shopping downtown. I have a shopping problem.
AT: What's next for you after graduation?
JA: After graduation I'm going to stay and be a graduate assistant and I'm going to be here with the coaches. I'm going to study adult education and then after that I'm going to go into nursing home administration.
