AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" Sophomores Caitlin Boyle and Megan Rauh were recognized by the Southeastern Conference for their efforts in the month of March. Boyle earned SEC Fences Rider of the Month, while Rauh was named SEC Horsemanship Rider of the Month, the league office announced Wednesday.

Both Boyle and Rauh went undefeated in their respective disciplines, helping the Tigers beat then-No. 1 Baylor and then-No. 2 Texas A&M on the road. With the two wins, Auburn moved to No. 1 in the nation.

Against the Bears, Boyle scored a season-best 90 points in her win, defeating her opponent by 12 points. She followed with 87 points in her victory the following day in College Station, winning by 15 points. For her efforts, Boyle picked up back-to-back MOP honors to up her season total to four in the event.

Rauh earned her seventh and eighth victories of the year on the road. Her eight wins is the second most by any Tiger in the event this season. Rauh's 75 points in her win vs. the Bears tied for the second-most by the sophomore this year. She capped a successful weekend with a 74.5-74 victory vs. the Aggies, picking up Auburn's 12th point of the meet.

The conference honor is the first of the season for both Auburn riders.

The Tigers host the 2017 SEC Championships, March 24-25, at the Auburn University Horse Center. AU is the No. 2 seed, while Georgia comes in at No. 1. Texas A&M is No. 3 and South Carolina comes in at No. 4. The Tigers and the Aggies kick things off with a 9 a.m. CT meet Friday. Admission is free.
