AUBURN, Ala. -- Auburn Baseball will host the first-ever "Bark in the Park" event at Plainsman Park where fans may bring their dog to the April 4 game against Georgia Tech set for 6 pm CT.
The "Bark in the Park" event is in partnership with the Auburn College of Veterinary Medicine, which is sponsoring the game and will have faculty, staff and students on hand to answer fan questions about sound pet care.
All "Bark in the Park" participants must enter at the right field gate along Donahue Drive. The first 200 participants to enter the stadium will receive a free Auburn Baseball dog bowl. Participants may not enter the stadium until 5 p.m. CT. All dogs must be on a leash upon entering the stadium and may not be taken off the leash once inside Plainsman Park.
Fans bringing a dog will not be allowed to enter the main gate or Tiger Terrace gate. Each participant is limited to one dog per person. There will be no dog seating areas to accommodate any fan not wishing to sit next to a dog.
In addition to the free dog bowl giveaway, the lower right field concourse will feature a doggy snack bar, a free water station and a covered natural grass pad with waste bags. "Bark in the Park" participants are permitted to bring pet supplies into the game.
"Bark in the Park" admission for a dog is $3 and can be purchased at Plainsman Park this weekend for fans who have already purchased tickets to the game. "Bark in the Park" tickets purchased between now and Tuesday are $11 and include a pet ticket. Season ticket holders received a voucher with their season ticket package for "Bark in the Park". Students must purchase a ticket for their pet for "Bark in the Park".
Each fan who brings their dog must turn in a completed vaccination waiver form upon entering at the right-field gate. No fan will be allowed to bring their dog into the stadium without a completed form.
Vaccination waiver forms will be available at the Plainsman Park Ticket Booth for each game during the South Carolina series from March 31-April 1. Forms may also be picked up at the Auburn Ticket Office inside Auburn Arena.
