AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" Fresh off a series win over the weekend, the No. 7 Auburn softball team returns to the diamond Wednesday night against Georgia State. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. at Jane B. Moore Field.
The Tigers (33-6, 8-4 SEC) have taken the last 11 non-conference results and tout a 25-2 record against non-league foes this season.
In those games, Auburn is outscoring the opposition 191-24 and has 77 extra-base hits, while allowing just 19 in the circle and on defense. Eight different players boast batting clips of .300 or higher, led by Victoria Draper (.438) and Jenna Abbott (.444).
Kaylee Carlson and Makayla Martin hold 0.51 and 0.69 ERAs and have combined for 131 strikeouts against teams outside the SEC in 2017.
More recently, Carlson became the first pitcher to amass 20 victories in the SEC. Her win total currently sits fourth in the country.
Following its battle with Georgia State, Auburn entertains Missouri for a league series at Jane B. Moore Field, April 14-16.

Player to Watch: Alyssa Rivera
Freshman Alyssa Rivera has been a spark both at the plate since being inserted into the starting lineup. Rivera was recently named the SEC Freshman of the Week after hitting .500 with two multi-hit performances against Ole Miss. She leads the team with a .474 average versus teams in the SEC and is 9-for-17 with four RBI in her last five games, tallying four contests with at least two hits in the process.

The Tigers and Panthers have battled 20 times in series history with Auburn maintaining a 15-5 advantage. The Tigers have taken the last six results - all coming under head coach Clint Myers.

A series win by Auburn would give the Tigers their seventh consecutive victory over the Panthers and their 26th non-conference win of the season.
