ST. SIMONS, Ga. - All-SEC senior Matt Gilchrest tied for 18th at the SEC Championship, carding a 3-over 73 Saturday at the Seaside Course to finish at 2-over 71-68-73-212.

No. 19 Auburn (278-287-291-856) finished in a tie for ninth, four strokes off the cutline as the top eight teams advanced to match play beginning Sunday. No. 3 Vanderbilt won stroke play at 11-under 276-281-272-829.

Gilchrest, a native of Southlake, Texas, finished with eight birdies over three rounds of play. Sophomore Trace Crowe finished a shot behind at 3-over 70-69-74-213 to t-23rd.

Freshman Jovan Rebula t-41st at 65-78-74-217, sophomore Jacob Solomon t-43rd at 72-74-72-218 and senior Will Long t-61st at 77-76-72-225.

Florida's Alejandro Tosti (10-under 64-69-67-200) won individual medalist honors defeating Vanderbilt's Patrick Martin in a playoff.

No. 15 Texas A&M finished runner-up at 5-under 273-282-280-835 followed by No. 7 LSU (275-837), No. 6 Florida (280-838), South Carolina (280-845), Alabama (288-851), No. 23 Ole Miss (280-852) and No. 24 Missouri 289-852). They join No. 1 seed Vanderbilt as the eight teams to advance to the quarterfinals beginning Sunday at 6:30 am CT.

No. 25 Georgia tied with Auburn for ninth at 291-289-276-856 while Kentucky (276-857), Arkansas (268-859) Tennessee 279-874) and Mississippi State (281-877) rounded out the field.
