Five former Auburn golfers were active this past weekend in the professional ranks with two on the PGA tour, two on the Web.com Tour and one on the Champions Tour. Patton Kizzire had the best finish of the group tying for 53rd at -2 in the Traveler’s Championship. With Kizzire’s impressive weekend, he moves into the top 100 in the FedEx Cup rankings joining Jason Dufner (17) and Dominic Bozzelli (94). Blayne Barber checks in at 106.

PGA Tour

Patton Kizzire
This weekend: Traveler’s Championship (TPC River Highlands: Cromwell, Connecticut)
Kizzire was just shy of his fourth top 50 finish this season as he finished tied for 53rd with a score of -2 for the tournament. Kizzire totaled 17 birdies (seventh most in the tournament) this past weekend accompanied by 41 pars. After this near top 50 finish, Kizzire moves into the top 100 of the FedEx Cup rankings.

Dominic Bozzelli
This weekend: Traveler’s Championship (TPC River Highlands: Cromwell, Connecticut)
After finishing in the top 10 in the FedEx St. Jude Classic two weeks ago, Bozzelli missed the cut at the Traveler’s Championship. The cut line was set at an impressive +1 at the conclusion of Friday’s play, and with Bozzelli finishing at +6, he was just a handful of strokes away from playing the rest of the weekend.

Michael Hebert
This weekend: Lincoln Land Charity Championship (Panther Creek Country Club: Springfield, Illinois)
Though just five bogeys in his first two rounds, Hebert did not manage to surpass the cut line this past weekend shooting +3 for the week. This was the first time Hebert has been cut this season as he has finished 53rd or better in every tournament.

Michael Johnson
This weekend: Lincoln Land Charity Championship (Panther Creek Country Club: Springfield, Illinois)
Johnson finished this weekend pocketing his best score of the year at -3. Johnson started the weekend off shooting -6 for the day with just one bogey. Johnson completed the tournament with 16 birdies and 44 pars. With a drive of 364 yards, he tied for ninth with longest drive of the tournament.

PGA Champions Tour

John Huston
This weekend: American Family Insurance Championship (University Ridge: Madison, Wisconsin)
Huston boasted five birdies in his first round of the 2017 season and added two more throughout the rest of the tournament. Sunday was Huston’s most consistent round as he shot even par for the day until the 13th green in which he double bogeyed. He finished the day just +2 and brings home $1,080 for his first check of the season.

Auburn will have six former Tigers active this weekend. Barber, Bozzelli and Kizzire will participate in the Quicken Loans National in Potomac, Maryland and Hebert and Johnson will compete in the Nashville Golf Open benefitting the Snedeker Foundation. Huston will play in the U.S. Senior Open Championship.
