OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Kasey Cooper and the USA Softball Women's National Team are set to take on the Alabama Stars in two exhibitions at Jane B. Moore Field, July 22 at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively.
Current Auburn Tigers KK Crocker, Victoria Draper, Ashlee Swindle and Kendall Veach join the Alabama Stars, comprised of collegiate stars across the state of Alabama, to face off with Team USA.
USA Softball of Alabama and Rec 12 have come together to organize exhibition games in Auburn and Tuscaloosa.
The city of Tuscaloosa will host the first games July 20 at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Jane B. Moore Field will be the site of the next two games two days later. The two Alabama sites represent the only exhibition stops on the east coast for Team USA.
"We are so excited to have the USA Women's National Softball Team coming to Alabama," said Natalie Norman, State Commissioner of USA Softball of Alabama. "It is a tremendous honor for our state and its softball fans to have the opportunity to watch the best of the best play right here. We will also have the honor of seeing our own elite athletes and coaches, the Alabama Stars, which will be playing USA in the Exhibition Games."
Former Auburn standout and current Alabama State head coach Chris Steiner-Wilcoxson leads the Alabama Stars' Auburn roster. Holly Currie, one of best two-way players to ever don the orange and blue, will serve as an assistant coach.
Tickets start at $12.50 for general admission, $22 for reserved seating and $32 for premium seating at each location. Additional events at each venue include a softball camp, an invitational tournament and Team USA and Alabama All-Stars practices open to ticket holders.
