AUBURN, Ala. - Auburn men's tennis heads to LSU for the 2017 ITA Southern Regionals Thursday through Monday at the LSU Tennis Complex in Baton Rouge, La.
There will be a 64-entry main draw and a 64-entry qualifying draw in singles and one 64-entry draw in doubles. All Auburn players are scheduled to compete.
Teams participating include Auburn, Alabama, Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Jackson State, Jacksonville State, Louisiana-Lafayette, LSU, Mississippi State, Mississippi Valley State, Ole Miss, New Orleans, Nicholls State, Samford, South Alabama, Southern Miss, Tennessee State, Troy, Tulane and UAB.
Play begins Thursday and Friday at 8 a.m.; Saturday, Sunday and Monday start times will be set later. Live scoring of some matches will be available at www.LSUstats.com.
The singles and doubles champions advance to the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y., in November.
Auburn has had four regional singles winners in the past eight years: 2009: Tim Puetz; 2011: Andreas Mies; 2014: Lukas Ollert; 2015: Max Hinnisdaels.
