AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" Already a semifinalist for this year's Lou Groza Award, Auburn kicker Daniel Carlson was named one of the Lou Groza's "Stars of the Week" for his performance against Georgia on Saturday. It was third time this season he's earned the weekly honor.
Carlson, a Lou Groza Award finalist the past two seasons, made all four of his field-goal attempts Saturday from 54, 37 30 and 37 yards out and was a perfect four-for-four on PATs as well. The senior kicker, who is already the SEC's all-time leading scorer, is now the conference's all-time record holder with 88 career made field goals. He also extended his career-long streak to 185 PATs made without a miss ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" a new Auburn record.
The three finalists for this year's Lou Groza Award will be announced on Nov. 21.
