AUBURN, Ala. -- Coming off a three-game sweep of Longwood in the season-opening series, Auburn (3-0) hosts Georgia State (2-1) and Troy (4-0) on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively, at Plainsman Park. First pitch for both games is schedules for 4 p.m. CT.

  • Auburn hit .356 and posted a .481 OBP in its three-game sweep of Longwood to open the season. Every Tiger who had at least five at-bats recorded multiple hits and scored and drove in a run on the weekend.
  • At 3-0, Auburn is off to its best start since the Tigers started 4-0 in 2013. It is just the second time in the last 10 years Auburn has started 3-0. The last time Auburn started better than 4-0 was 2001 when the Tigers opened the season 13-0.

  • Auburn hit four home runs in the three-game series against Longwood - all in the first 11 innings from the plate - matching the Tigers' total from the first 14 games last season.

SERIES HISTORY

  • Auburn holds a 15-1 all-time advantage against Georgia State and is 13-0 at home against the Panthers. The two teams last met on Apr. 5, 2016 at Plainsman Park, and Auburn defeated Georgia State, 7-4.
  • Auburn holds a 55-22 all-time record in its series against Troy, which dates back to 1935. The Tigers are 34-9 against the Trojans at home, but dropped the most recent matchup, 5-2, on Apr. 25, 2017 in Auburn.
