No. 15 Auburn vs. No. 13 Alabama

AUBURN, Ala. - No. 15 Auburn softball is set to open play at the SEC Tournament in Columbia, Mo. with a first round meeting with 13th-ranked Alabama Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. CT. The Tigers are the ninth seed and will serve as the road team against the 8-seed Crimson Tide.
The game will serve as the nightcap of the tournament's opening round and can be viewed on the SEC Network with Beth Mowins, Michele Smith and Holly Rowe on the call. Additionally, fans can tune in to FM Talk 95.9 to hear Brad Law and Brit Bowen on the Auburn Radio call.
The in-state rivalry matchup will be the ninth meeting between the Tide and Tigers in the SEC Tournament. Alabama holds a 5-3 lead in those games, however Auburn has taken the last two meetings, both of which led to the Tigers eventually winning the SEC Championship titles in 2015 and 2016.
This will be the fourth meeting between the teams of 2018. Earlier this season, March 16-18, Auburn played host to Alabama for a regular season series at Jane B. Moore. The Tigers won the series 2-1 in dramatic fashion on a walk-off 2-1 win in the series finale.
The winner of Wednesday's game will take on No. 1 seed Florida on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. CT.

- Makayla Martin (1.19) and Kaylee Carlson (1.20) are currently touting two of the three lowest ERAs in a single season in program history. The duo has led the charge behind the Tigers posting the fifth-lowest ERA in the nation this season at 1.24.
- Kaylee Carlson and Taylon Snow were tabbed as All-SEC selections this season. Carlson was named to the Second and All-Defensive Teams while Snow was an All-Freshman Team selection.
- Victoria Draper is coming off a monster doubleheader at Chattanooga which saw the graduate record a four-hit performance in game two. The Moulton, Ala. product batted .857 over both games with six hits, two runs scored and two RBI. Draper finished the regular season just shy of a .400 batting average (.397).
