Coming off a breakout sophomore season and stint with the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team this summer, shortstop Will Holland has been named a top college prospect by Baseball America.
Holland appears at No. 8 on the list released by Baseball America and is one of three players from the Southeastern Conference in the top 10.
After playing in all 66 games and earning 65 starts at shortstop last season, Holland picked up a list of postseason accolades as he was named Second Team All-SEC, First Team ABCA All-South Region and a Brooks Wallace Award semifinalist.
The Lawrenceville, Georgia, native led the team and ranked tied for seventh in the SEC with 61 runs scored. He also tied for the team lead in hits (78), ranked second in batting average (.313), doubles (18) and RBI (52), and finished tied for second in home runs (12).
After going 10-for-14 with four doubles, two home runs and six RBI in a three-game series vs. LSU to finish the regular season, Holland was not only named the SEC Player of the Week, but also became the first Auburn player to take home National Player of the Week honors since 2010.
Holland appeared in three games and made two starts for the Collegiate National Team this summer before heading to the Cape Cod League to compete for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks.
