AUBURN, Ala. – The honors continue to pile up for junior midfielder Bri Folds, who was named a 2018 United Soccer Coaches Third Team All-American Thursday evening.
Folds becomes the sixth Auburn player in program history to earn All-America honors. She was named First Team All-Southeast Region earlier this week and also earned First Team All-SEC honors in October.
"We are thrilled for Bri to be named All-American," head coach Karen Hoppa said. "She has had a tremendous junior year and now has been recognized as one of the top players in the country. I couldn't be more proud of her."
Folds led Auburn to its best start in program history in 2018 as the Tigers won nine consecutive matches to start the season. The Lakeland, Florida, native paced the team with a career-high nine goals and 25 points to go along with seven assists. Six of Folds' nine goal were game winners, which matched the team's single-season record. She ranked tied for fifth or better in the conference in all four aforementioned categories.
Folds, who also scored three straight game-winning goals from Sept. 9-16, was recognized by Top Drawer Soccer on four occasions throughout the season.
