AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn volleyball team hosts No. 24 Missouri Wednesday night in Auburn Arena. The two Tiger teams are set to go head-to-head at 8 p.m. CT and the match will be broadcast live on SEC Network.
 
"Missouri is a well-rounded team that is really firing on all cylinders right now," head coach Rick Nold said. "Our last stretch of the season is filled with some of the best in the conference and we really need our fans to show out Wednesday night. It's going to be a great time in Auburn Arena."
 
PROMOTIONS
Join men's basketball coach Bruce Pearl and members of the Auburn men's basketball team Wednesday as they will be there to cheer on the volleyball team. Wednesday's match will also serve as a gear pickup for members of the Jungle.
 
Admission is free to all Auburn volleyball matches.
 
QUICK HITS
- Auburn is 10-13 overall with a 3-10 mark in the Southeastern Conference.
- Sophomore Anna Stevenson is among the conference's best, ranking third in overall block average (1.26), while her 1.36 mark vs. SEC-only opponents is second.  
- Freshman Tatum Shipes has really stepped up in the last few matches on the outside for the Tigers. She has totaled double-digit kills in five of the team's last six matches and her 2.86 kills/set average vs. SEC opponents leads the team.
- Senior Brenna McIlroy continues to lead the Tigers offensively, averaging 2.88 kills/set on the season.
- McIlroy also continues to excel from the service line, averaging .44 aces/set to rank fourth in the SEC. She picked up a career high in the team's last meeting vs. Missouri (10/19), having six aces in Columbia.
- Freshman Mica Allison as earned the starting nod in all matches at setter for the Tigers the year.  The White Heath, Ill., native is fourth in the Southeastern Conference with a 9.90 assists/set average.
- Auburn's 2018 schedule boasts 10 2017 NCAA Tournament participants.
 
UP NEXT
The Tigers continue their homestand, hosting No. 14 Florida in a Sunday afternoon content. Auburn and the nationally-ranked Gators will face off at 12 p.m. CT, Nov. 11, in Auburn Arena. The match will be televised on SEC Network.
 
SCOUTING MISSOURI
- The No. 24 Missouri Tigers stand at 20-5 on the season with a 10-3 mark in Southeastern Conference play. The squad is coming off a tough five-set loss at South Carolina Friday, Nov. 2.
- The Tigers continue to be led by their senior Alyssa Munlyn. The middle blocker is among the league's best in a handful of categories, including blocks. She is first overall with a 1.35 blocks/set average, while her 1.20 mark vs. SEC-only opponents is fourth.
- In addition, her hitting percentages on the year are some of the best in the nation. Her .386 mark overall is third in the league and 26th nationally. Munlyn is also hitting .390 vs. the SEC to rank second.
- Sophomore outside hitter Kylie Deberg is in the league's Top 10 in both kills/set (3.54) and aces/set (.49).
 
A WIN OVER MIZZOU WOULD...
- Be Auburn's first win over Missouri since the school joined the SEC.
- Be Auburn's second win in the series history.
 
AUBURN-MIZZOU SERIES
- Missouri is 10-1 against Auburn with the two teams meeting for the first time in 1996.
- The two Tiger teams did not face each other again until 2011 at a neutral site before Missouri joined the conference.
