AUBURN, Ala. – Alison Maillard captured her second top-6 finish of the Georgia Diving Invitational on Saturday, finishing fourth on the 1-meter.

A day after finishing sixth on the 3-meter, Maillard scored a 290.15 in the finals of the 3-meter to finish fourth. She had advanced out of prelims with a 282.15, which qualified her for fifth.

"I thought Alison was very consistent with two solid lists," Auburn diving coach Jeff Shaffer said. "I was pleased with her performance and the corrections she is making."

Ruthie Jerger finished 39th out of 46 with a 187.90.

Conner Pruitt was Auburn's top finisher in the men's 3-meter competition, finishing ninth with a 330.05. He had advanced to finals with a 302.45, which placed him 10th after the first list.

"Conner was able to compete a reverse one-and-a-half with three-and-a-half twists for the first time in a competition this year," Shaffer said. "It's going to be a dive that is going to score him a lot of points as he gets more comfortable with it."

Logan Andrews (277.65) and Justin Checchin (269.80) finished 20th and 21st, respectively, out of 27 competitors.

"Justin had one of his most consistent lists in executing all six of his dives," Shaffer said. "I don't know if the total score reflected that, but from my perspective I thought he was the most consistent performing today.

"I thought the men overall were a little flat and there could have been a little more focus," Shaffer said. "I thought we warmed up well in prelims and were just a little off on being competitive and finishing dives."

Brooke Schultz of Arkansas took the top spot in the women's competition for the second straight day, finishing with a 337.60, while Juan Hernandez of LSU did the same on the men's side, winning the 3-meter with a 428.50.

The Georgia Diving Invitational concludes on Sunday with the platform competition, which will begin at 9 am CT. Live stats are available on divemeets.com.
